Paulo Silva

Founding Partner and Board Member of New Republic Public Affairs and Chairman of New Republic Holding.

Paulo Silva works strategically and operationally with New Republic's investor services in political due diligence and public affairs on behalf of CEOs, management teams, and owners.

Paulo has 15 years of experience in public affairs, having worked on assignments in markets where political and regulatory processes at various levels are of great importance for investments. He has experience of working with large organizations and companies, private equity firms, and other owner companies.

Paulo Silva has a political background and experience of politics at various levels, from European to national and local in Stockholm, where he served on the city council. He has held several political positions, including chief of staff in the Swedish Parliament for the Green Party's spokespersons and as political advisor at the Ministry of Finance, where he worked on national budget negotiations between the red-green party coalition. He has also worked in Brussels at the European Parliament as a political adviser.

Paulo has experience with board work and have also been a member of several government parliamentary inquiries. He holds a degree in political science from Stockholm University.
